July marks a very important event for Gravit8. We are upgrading our offices and are moving a short distance across town to Strand Street. Obviously our details have changed so please take note of the changes.

Gravit8 will now be spending its days, and sometimes nights, on the 4th Floor of 47 Strand Street in unit 400. We have bigger offices and a much better look and feel to our office space. Please feel free to come and have a look if you are in the area.

Feedback

The website is not so spanking new anymore. In fact, it's been up for over a month. In that month we have had some great feedback regarding the new Gravit8 design. We've even featured on CSSTux. This feature has driven quite a bit of traffic our way.

Since the installation of our new content management system we have been able to study our website traffic better, and we are happy to say it has increased. We can attribute this increase in site visitors, not only to backlinks from sites talking about us, but also to the great in-built site engine optimization facilities. 

So all in all the new Gravit8 site has been a great success.

Busy Bodies

Gravit8 has been kept extremely busy, both in the web design, and the network support departments. Both areas of the business continue to grow. Keep an eye on our portfolio section of the site to stay up to date with who our latest impressed clients are.

We are hiring

We are currently looking for a junior network technician to join the growing Gravit8 team. The successful applicant will be required to assist in network administration, wireless and cabled network installations, desktop support, and some server support. Knowledge of Linux is not essential, but definitely an advantage.

Gravit8 was recently asked to provide some computer assistance to a non-profit organisation called Beth Uriel. Beth Uriel provide board and lodging for underpriviledged boys.

If you've been here before, but things look a bit foreign, it might be because we've been busy with a few changes.

In fact we've had a complete overhaul of the site. It's gone from an html structured website with a php discussion forum, to a database driven, content managed, web standards based, visually appealing, accessible company website. We are so proud of the new functionality this site has to offer. Have a look around and see what is new.

March has come and gone and April is well under way. The year seems to be going by with amazing pace. We have settled in our new offices, which are in the same place but have doubled in size, and we are busy with a few new projects.

It’s the start of 2006 and an exciting year lies ahead. Gravit8 have lots planned for this year and we can't believe we are already in February

Gravit8 are restructuring internally at the moment. We are departmentalizing the company into three departments. Networking, Web services and Industrial I.T. These will be reflected in our new website which we hope to launch at the end of June.

Another few months have flown by, providing Gravit8 with a lot of new work, new challenges and new opportunities.

Gravit8’s Latest Member

Gravit8 is continuing to grow! As you may have read in last month’s news Gravit8 was expecting a new member during June. Remè Du Plessis is the latest addition to the Gravit8 team. His role will be that of a network and computer technician due to a slight reshuffle in functions at Gravit8 and a growing network support portfolio.
